Laminate Flooring

A firm favourite for homes and businesses, our range of laminate flooring has something to suit every space.

The fan favourite of hard flooring, laminate flooring is a synthetic composition designed to mimic the appearance of wood, stone or other traditional hardfloor options. Usually made with high density fibreboard, a decorative layer and a protective clear top layer, laminate comes in panels which are fitted together much like traditional wood flooring.

Hailed for being durable but also versatile with a huge range of designs available, laminate flooring is used in spaces throughout homes and businesses and can withstand heavy footfall and stay looking as good as new for many years with minimal maintenance in comparison to pure hardwood flooring.

When it comes to businesses looking for hard flooring, laminate can be a budget-friendly, stylish and sustainable choice thanks to its longevity meaning it can withstand your peak times without showing signs of wear and tear. From shops to restaurants, offices to residential homes, whatever type of footfall your business sees, laminate flooring can help create the aesthetic you’re looking for at a price you’ll like.

For the home, laminate flooring can easily be used throughout. With a specific layer at the bottom of the plank for moisture resistance, laminate can be used in wet areas of the home like the bathroom and kitchen, as well as hallways, dining rooms, bedrooms, home offices and more. With such a wide range of colours and finishes available, you can create an open plan feel with one type of flooring throughout multiple spaces or mix and match finishes to add a unique look to each room.

Laminate flooring is often seen as a cost-effective alternative to more traditional hardwood and vinyl flooring. Unlike hardwood, which is made from solid timber, laminate consists of a fibreboard core with a photographic image layer topped by a protective coating. It offers the look of wood at a much lower cost. Compared to vinyl, laminate feels firmer (both to touch and underfoot), though it’s less water-resistant, making room choice important, typically laminate is popular in bedrooms.
Laminate flooring is versatile and works well in bedrooms, hallways, and homes offices due to its durability and stylish finishes. However, it’s less suited to high-moisture areas such as bathrooms or utility rooms unless it’s a specially designed waterproof version. With careful selection and maintenance (which is key), laminate can enhance most areas of the home beautifully and affordably.
Laminate flooring typically lasts between 15 and 25 years, depending on quality, and ongoing maintenance. High-quality laminates with thick wear layers offer greater durability and resistance to scratches, stains, and fading in sunlight. The key to making laminate flooring last it through proper care, such as regular cleaning and avoiding excess water. In family homes laminate provides an affordable, long-lasting flooring solution.
Traditional laminate flooring is water-resistant but not waterproof, meaning spills should be cleaned quickly to prevent swelling or warping. However, newer waterproof laminate ranges are designed to handle moisture better, making them suitable for kitchens and even some bathrooms, care should still be taken.
